Japan’s first permanent indoor international competition-level urban sports park in Town of Sakai, Ibaraki – together with the new facility, it will support the next generation of athletes

In 2021, Town of Sakai, Ibaraki Japan, kicked off for a new era of urban sports in Japan through construction of first ever permanent international-level urban sports park in Japan.

As of January 2024, the new park is about to be completed.

The opening ceremony for the new facility is scheduled in February this year. The park is expected to serve as a new landmark of urban sports in the world. We have been supporting the installation from the primary planning and will operate this facility onward.

SAKAI Urban Sports Park, existing outdoor park, has been used regularly by various athletes who are aiming at international medal level or Olympic medallists, both for training and at competitions.

With 2 parks, Town of Sakai is planning to host international competitions in near future.

ABC Planning Inc. actively supports promoting athletes such as Cycling BMX Freestyle Park athletes Leon Shirai, Rena Shirai, and Inline skater Mei Myoga.
